Dear lover of the Scriptures -

I just visited your website and saw a reference to scripture memorization
and the Topical Memory System. This email note is to let you know
about two unique websites that may be new to you. They both use
music as the vehicle to aid in memorization.

Scripture Release is the Topical Memory System in song. It features
the first 24 verses of the TMS sung by Lisa Bevill, Kim Hill and four
other outstanding Nashville artists. The mp3/zip downloads, as well
as numerous helps, are available at no charge.
The URL is: www.scripturerelease.com

Scripture Song Source features music to be used in the church.
Pieces range from congregational to choral to kids. Easy-to-read
sheet music and midi demos are available. Again, there is
no charge for use. Scripture Song Source recently changed its URL.
The new URL is: www.scripturesongsource.com

God grant grace to all of us in these critical days as we seek
to lift up the truth of His word!

Waiting in His wings,

Dave Cook

Sam,
I work for PastorResources.com as a Community Manager. Part of my job is collecting helpful book reviews from around the web and posting short excerpts (pointing back to the author's site). I'd like to point to your reviews: Elders in Congregational Life & The Glory of Christ (to begin with!), but I'd like to make sure of your full name first. Would you mind emailing me with that?
By the way, I'm impressed by the gospel-centric thought pattern here. It's somthing that I'm seeking to grow in personally, and I'm encouraged by what I see. We can praise Him for His grace at work in your life and writing!
Looking forward to reading your next piece.

I found this site because I saw a video with kids done by "samshua" on www.youtube.com. Of course in the video, when the kids are asked how to calm an angry person down, they answer with Proverbs - a gentle answer turns away wrath - so I wondered if "samshua" had any other videos and found this blogsite. I'm a Christian too, not Asian-American, but just want to say that it was wonderful to see that on youtube and also to find this site. I love the visual of the gospel being a prism. I've been a Christian for 10 years, and am just surrendering the whole of my mind to the Lord (not realizing I hadn't done it) and truly taking captive all my thoughts for Christ, giving my mind totally to the Lord so that the Holy Spirit can help me block negative thoughts (that lead to negative reactions and self-centeredness and negative actions). My load has been lifted from that, God is so good. I was helped by three studies. One is the workbook (and a group) from Overcomers in Christ, the other is Beth Moore's Breaking Free and the third piece has been doing the Life Under Control by First Place. All talk about surrender.

It's always so cool to find Christian values on the Internet.

Thank you,
Polly from New Jersey
