Gospel Prism

Let me first state, that I have not studied these revivals directly. But I have read some about them and am cautiously guarded in assessing them as of yet. As a continuationist, I believe God does still do miracles today and God can and does use the power of healing through people. However, I also believe that Scripture is the standard by which all of these miracels must be judged. And so, when I watch these miracles, I do not doubt their authenticity. After all, Scripture tells us that even false teachers can produce genuine miracles (2 Thess 2:9). So miracles themsleves do not necessarily mean that God is in them. But like so many movememts of God (including the Great Awakening), what might have begun as a work of the Spirit could also begin to morph into something quite nefarious.
