Why We Are Not Emergent

It’s true! It’s true! In order to increase blog traffic, we’ve decided to change the name of this blog!
… oh … wait … oh … okay …
It was reported here, prematurely, that the blog’s name was changing to Why We’re Not Emergent. That’s not gonna happen. While I’m confident that I am not emergent, well, I’m just not so sure about Sam.
Instead, I recommend reading the book, Why We’re Not Emergent (By Two Guys Who Should Be). This was a giveaway at T4G last week.
- Finding the Will of God: A Pagan Notion?
- I Love DGM and JP
- A Culture Free of Grace?
- Messy Desk? No More!…Hopefully
- “Christian”? Counseling

I wouldn’t speak, Tim Missional Kurtz.
Looks good. This is a topic our church has had to deal with (especially being associated with ACTS 29). I’m actually looking forward to reading it (once I get a copy). It’s one of those issues you wouldn’t debate until someone accuses you of being [insert label]. Whether it’s Hyper-Calvinism, Emergent or simply Seeker-Sensitive, we will eventually be labeled something we’re not and should have a basic understanding of these meanings so we can accurately defend ourselves and the faith.
Are you planning an actual review of the book or shall we discuss the merits of Seeker-Aggressive Pastors
