WWJD (What Would Judas Do?)
Feb 20th, 2008 by admin
1. He would speak ill of you behind your back (Matt 26:14-15).
2. He would be thinking of ways he could hurt you, but with a smile (Matt 26:16).
3. He would find ways to cut corners at work, to cheat on his taxes. He would inflate the numbers as the CFO of a corporation. He would steal money as the church treasurer (Matt 12:4-5).
4. He would criticize anyone who didn’t agree with him (John 12:4).
5. He would speak all sorts of rhetoric about the poor and social justice, he would condemn people about their lack of concern for the things of ’social justice,’ while driving in a BMW and doing nothing for the poor or defenseless (John 12:4-5).
6. He would be closed to the things of God (John 13:26-27).
7. He would be so fixated on his lust for money that he would be unable to see that he is doing anything wrong (John 13:26-27). It makes me think of the gambler with a loving family who is begging him to quit and yet he still goes to lose everything and put his family in jeopardy.
8. He would betray anyone so long as there was a payout for him in the end (John 18:5).
9. He would lack compassion (Luke 22:48).
10. He would be a liar (Luke 22:48)
11. He would feel remorse, but not sorrow over sin (Matt 27:3-4).
12. He wouldn’t repent of sins, but would find a way that he deems appropriate to pay for sins. In doing so, he would continue the same pattern that led him to this place, self-dependence, self-centeredness, and self-pity (Matt 27:3-10).
