Southern Baptists and the Doctrines of Grace

It seems more and more Southern Baptist pastors graduating seminary are Calvinist.

I recently had a conversation with a friend and SBs came up. My image was of Mark Dever, Al Mohler, and Tom Ascol - “Calvinists”, if you will. His image was, ah, not of Calvinists. He was surprised to learn of the doctrines-of-grace-influenced leaders; I was reminded that Dever, Mohler, and others of their ilk are in the minority. The article that you reference bears this out.
I concur, more and more graduates are Calvinists. I’m a SB, a strong Calvinist myself, and a supporter of Founders Ministries (http://www.founders.org/). It is a struggle to be Calvinistic in an average SB church today. I continue to pray that more and more Preachers, Teachers, and Evangalists who embrace the Calvinistic framework for thier Theology and Doctrine will arrive on the scene and help to reform our association.
