In 2003, John Piper wrote the article, “Don’t Play the Lottery for Me,” commenting on Jack Whittaker’s tithe of a $170 million powerball win to two churches. But after reading this article on Mr. Whittaker, not only will you not want to play the lottery for your church, you might not want to play the lottery if you want any real joy in your life!
