This Weekend in Brooklyn
Aug 20th, 2007 by admin

I had the opportunity to visit Sovereign Grace City Church in Brooklyn, NY. I must say that one of the real blessings of being a part of the Sovereign Grace family of churches is that being there was like being in San Leandro. The main components are the same: Sovereign Grace songs, Gospel-focused ministry, and cross-centered preaching. And so when Shua and I sat in the chairs, though much of the time was spent watching Jack as well, we were blessed to be around people who loved to sing, talk, and think in light of the glorious Gospel.
Afterwards, we went to a restaurant called Bubby’s which was beside the East River and had an awesome view of Manhattan.

Admittedly, I had high expectations for the food but it was sub par and pricey. I wouldn’t go there if you happen to visit the church. It seemed like it would be a great restaurant because the ambiance was really great, but it sure was a disappointment. But at least I was able to take some nice shots of the area.

Hey, Sam! We missed you and Shua here at Wellspring, but I heard that Justin Buzzard’s message was good. Hope you and the family are having a restful, enjoyable time in the East Coast!
