Left to Die

We visited this man at his home. He has TB and has one leg from a mining accident and so he cannot get to the clinic from where he lives. Unless the Home Based Care team in Cork, South Africa visited him, he probably would have been dead by now. There is no food for him and there is little water that he can obtain. Imagine his life. He arises when he feels like it. He eats a few scraps. He sits outside his door. And then he goes back to sleep. Nothing changes for him. This is his life. There is only one thing that can make a difference for him, the Gospel of Christ. And as we visited him, he confessed that He trusted in Jesus. But only the Lord knows for sure if this is true?
