Playing With Barbed Wire

My home has many toys, toys that have been discarded a while ago. But one toy that we do not have is barbed wire. Usually, you don’t want kids playing with such things because…well…cuts from sharp wire is never fun any child. But in Africa where toys are non-existent, where food and water and health care are very limited, barbed wire can be ‘fun.’ I
I took this shot as we were visiting a village called Cork. The poverty in this small village was horrific. These two kids were barefooted in the midst of rubble playing with barbed wire. It was their only toy.
