I’m Going to South Africa Next Week
Jul 5th, 2007 by admin
For those of you who didn’t know already, I’ll be going to South Africa for the next two weeks to serve Hands at Work, Africa. I’ll be going from July 12th to July 28th, leading a team of 14 men, women, and children from our church. We’ll be caring for orphans and widows who are struck by AIDS. So if I may, would you mind praying for:
1. Please pray for my health. It’s always on the top of the list when it comes to missions for me. There have been times where I have been so sick that it has really impacted my time to lead and minister.
2. Please pray for wisdom for me. I am leading the team and I need to lead by His grace with the Spirit’s wisdom.
3. Please pray that our team would live out and exhibit the Gospel to one another and to those we care for. Pray that every person would have a servant-heart. Please pray against the Enemy’s desire to plant seeds of self-centeredness, grumbling, and complaining. Also, please pray against self-pity on any of our team members.
4. Please pray for travel protections on flights, car rides (we’ll be driving on the opposite side of the road).
5. Please pray for the Spirit to open hearts, minds, and ears to His heart for the world.
Thank you so much for your prayers.
