Our Church’s VBS
Jun 26th, 2007 by admin
We’ve been having VBS for our church this week. Linda Ham, who is our Children’s Director has done an outstanding job as usual (kudos to Linda). And my wife and me are leading worship together (she’s leading, I’m just supporting). We haven’t done this since we first began Wellspring back in 1999. And I would just like to say that she’s doing an excellent job and brings ideas into worship that teaches me about our gracious God.
One thing that really strikes me is what the kids are learning. They are learning about their righteousness that rests in Christ’s righteousness. They are learning about the fruit and glory of the Gospel. They are learning about enjoying the joy and freedom of being a child of God, bought by the blood of the Lamb. I wish I learned such things as a kid. If they can grasp what it means to have their full identity in the riches of Christ’s perfect righteousness, their lives will never be the same.
I’ll be posting summary videos of each day of the week. Here is our first day:
- Body Worship and Crown-Casting Is Christ Exalting!
- Before the Throne of God Above
- Home
- VBS Break
- What Is Your Goal?

The last video I watched about religion and kids was “Jesus Camp” - what a contrast this clip is! If the “documentary” creators of “Jesus Camp” visited Wellspring, they would get a different view of evangelical Christianity. Jesus is the way, truth, and life! Soli Deo Gloria!!
