Talking to Children About Race
May 31st, 2007 by admin
If you’re a parent, I would strongly suggest you read this post by Thabiti Anyabwile. There is no one who writes better about race in light of the Gospel. And his suggestions in talking about ‘race’ to kids are simply a must read. Here are the headlines. I suggest you head on over to see what he has to say about each one:
1. Talk with your children about ethnicity (the nations) rather than “race.”
2. Talk about ethnicity in a way that magnifies the power and wisdom of God.
3. Talk about the need of all men for the Savior.
4. Talk about the gospel and the church as the plan of God to demonstrate unity across such diversity and to display His wisdom.
