Evangelical Fadmakerism

Philip Johnson has an interesting post on what he believes it the fadmaking culture of Evangelicalism based on big names and passing fads. And then Evangelical Outpost expands on this by giving what he believes “are ten fixtures of evangelism that I find particularly harmful. None of them are inherently pernicious (well, except for #10) but they have a tendency to be used in ways that are counterproductive to their intended purposes.”
You’ll find that his list might surprise you. I suggest going to the site for more details for explanations of each heading. I wouldn’t say agree with everything he says (his explanations are a bit sarcastic), but it definitely makes one think. We far too easily assume that because everyone else is doing it, it, whatever it is, is right.
