Husbands, Open Your Calendars
Apr 19th, 2007 by admin
At the Sov Grace Lead Conference, Steve Shank (I didn’t attend the seminar but heard this from one of the guys I went with. Can’t wait to get the mp3 for it) shared how one of the first things he does in the year is to open his calendar and plan dates with his wife all throughout the year, adding in one special trip. And then nothing changes those dates unless He feels God gives Him something that changes his plans. That struck me. How so many husbands plan their calendars on the basis of work first, rather than their wives. It was certainly eye-opening for me as I realized how easy it is to forget to think of my wife first. So I’ve planned our Mother’s Day date already (on the Tuesday before Mother’s Day, Sunday is too crazy) and we’re both excited about it. Hopefully, that’s just the beginning.
