		<description>I said (and I always say) that we certainly need churches and Christians everywhere there are people--but the default mode of evangelicals is to go to live in the suburban and rural places (statistics prove this.) Unless you regularly emphasize Christians living in and staying in the city, very few will ever go there.</description>

		<description>Thanks for this explanation. It is hard to listen to these guys at times because they can come off sounding like non-urban and small churches don't count. In general I applaud and agree with their theology; there sociology can be suspect.</description>

		<description>Tim, John Piper clarified what he thought Tim Keller meant.  Because the question arose, does this mean we simply abandon the rural areas and suburbs to go the cities?  The answer is no.  It should be instead that people should not abandon the cities for the suburbs because it is more comfrotable there.  Tim Keller is right in that sense though.  The witness of the Gospel is leaving to more comfortable areas.</description>
