The Valley of the Shadow

Here is the “Valley of the Shadow” in different ways. Which one do you like better? Please vote and help my walls look nice as I plan on framing them and making my plain white walls look better.
#1

#2

#3

- Retreating
- James Emery White No Longer Pres of My Alma Mater
- Cheap CDs
- Three Valleys
- Should a Christian Vote?

i would rank them #3, #1, #2, in order of preference.
where did you take this photo?
my vote - 1, 3, 2
note - b&w in 3 could pass for snow
#3, 1, 2…I like the black and white shot. There’s something peaceful, yet forboding about that picture.
What if you tried post-processing that shot with a very faint green hue?
#3 reminds me of Ansel Adams’ prints. But if you want less white walls, I would go w/#1. I actually like #1 out of the 3 pics. Don’t like the blurriness on #2. Hurts my eyes when I look at it.

Ps: The pic with you and Shua is really nice. Both of you are beaming!! Consider having that pic framed and on the wall.

#3 or #1 are great, depending on the background color of the wall and the frame that you’re posting the photo upon. (sorry to be ending a sentence in a preposition, bad form
)

hey sam, just stopping by and saw the photos. i like the black and white tree picture. the depth of field seems greater in b/w because you can see the tree shadows in the path ad the end of the path seems smaller and a little more blurred. my eye noticed every tree popping out, so it seems like there are more trees in the b/w pic. also the bark makes more of an impact because it looks harsh and rough from the contrast of the tree itself . and you get a sense of the weather being more stark. i do like the green color of the trees though. it’d be cool if you potoshoped it. have the green in tha bark come out, and then have the rest of the picture in black and white. hope all is well.
